After my last post, I was going through some of the pictures I have of Caiden and Eli as they have grown up together as friends. I decided that I had to dedicate a special post just for them. Are they not the two cutest little boys ever?
They call each other Cainen and Ollie and they have so much fun together. I have a feeling that they will be friends for a long time to come.
The gang got together a couple weekends ago and took the kids to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. This was Eli's second time there and I think he had much more fun this time around. He was still pretty young when we took him last year and it was also 100 degrees the day that we went so we didn't stay too long.
This year, he was able to walk around himself and the weather was perfect! It was a busy day but we all had a lot of fun. Caiden and Eli rode the tractors and fed the baby goats and Lily just took it all in. What a great day!
Check out the video of Eli and Caiden riding the tractors and feeding the baby goats ...
I don't often make it to my camera in time to capture some of the great moments that happen between Eli and Boy but I did manage to get the two of them playing on video. Even though Eli's toes get nipped every once and a while and Boy gets trampled during one of Eli's running hugs, they really are best friends.
It was a very hot and humid day, especially for the first week of June, but Uncle Paul, Lizzy, Eli and I still had a good time. Eli decided it was time to take off his shirt near the end of our trip. He had a great time and was a really good sport the whole time. As long as he has his books, that kid can make it through anything.
Uncle Paul and Lizzy took some really pretty still shots and I got some good video of the trip. If you've never been, you should check it out.
While Uncle Paul was here, he took Eli and I to the Kansas City Zoo. It was a hot day as most of the summer has been here but we all had a blast.
I think Eli was so surprised when he saw how big all the animals really were compared to his tiny zoo animals that he loves so much. He also got a pretty cool hat out of the deal, which he picked out himself.
